Waxing is one form of hair removal that we enlist at Retief Skin Center to remove the hair from its root. New hair will not grow back in the waxed area for four to six weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth in only a week due to some hair being on a different growth cycle.

Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, bikini area, legs, arms, back, abdomen, knuckles and feet. We use two different types of wax suitable for removing unwanted hair including soft and hard wax. Hard wax does not adhere to the skin as much as soft wax does, making it a good option for sensitive skin or those using Retin-A.
